below are some pictures of the Lotus Esprit GT Silhouette racer my friend Simon Allaway and I built.

The engine is a prototype 5 Litre V8 we built for the esprit, produces 420BHP in prototype 1 stage as pictured, has gone on to produce over 500BHP in a race car in new zealand on stage 2 heads.

The Ultimate to date is 947BHP in twin turbo config for a record attempt car.

The car races in the Ace Vehicle Deliveries Sports/Saloons series all over the UK.

Thought i would show some piccies so you can see i am not talking bollicks.

thanks to mark champion for hosting the pictures.

Cool or what http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif
What times have you got at Donnington John?
Just so the boys have got something to aspire to http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/cool.gif

DavidRB 21 February 2000 01:52 PM

So when's Simon de Sideways going to drive it? http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif

johnfelstead 21 February 2000 01:58 PM

donnington was lapped last year in 1min 15secs, top speed 155MPH down the back straight.

If you want a proper techie spec i can put it up here.

The engine is just undergoing its winter rebuild at the mo, we are upping the cam so should give approx 450BHP, we were getting 420BHP on a fast road cam.

As for s de b, in his dreams i'm afraid. http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.giflol

Oh and 5 years blood, sweat and tears.

Come and have a watch this year, our car is not the quickest in the series, its probably the most spectacular grid of specials in the UK, the only rules are that the silouette must match a production car and the wheelbase must be within 5% of the original car.

One of the quickest cars is a very similar spec to ours but with a skoda silloutte and 550BHP of Andy Rouse cossie turbo http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif

You dont laugh at that i can assure you http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif

SDB 21 February 2000 03:34 PM

Do you think it is quicker than mine then? http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif
