LOL Sam - I had an old number and it worked - maybe yours is a fake ?? ;)

good point where to check!
I checked numbers that i'd won money on to see what it came up with but the website came up with nothing, I kept trying as well with other winnings but nothing from the website, tried this over the period of a year with quite a few wins but no joy. Strange but makes you wonder how many people try it that should have won something but get told they haven't or not recognised:eek: James |
Mine is like this 5wz762137 for example but that website ask for a 8 number serial number

It's not the premium bond number you need. Most people buy more than one, usually thousands.
When the bond(s) were purchased, you would have been issued a bearer number. This is the number required on the site. IIRC, there are companies that will trace individual bond numbers (usually in sequence), for a small fee. They can be found in the national press ads. Paul |
Notice how many of the winners have more than £ 15K worth of bonds.........

more you put in more chance of winning :D i hold 5k worth, just sent a cheque off to top it up to 10k, then the summer hopefully another 10k to take it to the max, ill give them 1 year then use a high interest savings account... gotta give it a go havent ya.
