Graphics is usually more about skill than the tools... I wouldn't say I have any skills but Fireworks from Macromedia is what I use for most things. A 30 day trial can be downloaded from their website.

I know a few people on here have offered hosting before now... So do a search for hosting???

This is a little embarrassing, When you consider where I work http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/redface.gif ahem..

I want to set up my own web site but am unsure of a couple of things, I would like the graphics on it to be of a certain standard which i just can't seem to achieve with the windows 2000 package installed on my laptop..aarrgghh

What am looking to do is logo's like Scoobynets and blending of photo's backgrounds etc

Any one got any recomendations, and i guess it would have to be compatable with frontpage as this is what is installed on my laptop?

When all this is done............... http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/rolleyes.gif I am going to need somewhere to host it........Amazing surrounded by 12000 servers and asking about hosting on here, Work won't let me use one of theirs you see, anyone got any ideas (or offers)

Please excuse my ignorance but we all need to start somewhere......over to you all....

I am doing the graveyard shift at the Mo so will be unable to reply until later, i am not ignoring anyone intentionally...

I can only help with hosting if you want your site to be very fast and never go down http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif

mattski 23 March 2001 08:21 PM

heh heh

buy a copy of April Internet Magazine and look in the hosting charts.
8th fastest ISP and 100% availability. Only one in the top 10 if I remember rightly.
