Am I the only Robot Wars fan here? Great program and a shame it's over. So I was looking forward to watching the US version 'BattleBots' on BBC2 last night.

What a load of cr*p!!! http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/frown.gif About 60 seconds of robot battles and 19 mins of two typicaly american 'presenters' talking a load of tosh the whole time and hyping it up beyond all sensible levels.

Won't bother watching again. And for our US freinds... I feel sorry for you if you have to be subjected to this quality if veiwing.... I just pray that this is not the way our highly regarded televison in this country is going...

IMHO - Battlebots was just the pits!
I hope that the beeb drops it like a hot brick, what a pi$$ poor immitation of Robot Wars

Was it my imagination or was the guy operating the arena floor able to influence the outcome of any of the so-called battles, they seemed tame without the intervention of Matilda, Kill-a-Lot and the rest.
The only saving grace was Donna D'erico as long as she kept her mouth shut

After watching the BattleBots program last night, I came to the conclusion that the english bots would kick yank ass......

But on the other hand the arena was better laid out! Lifting floors, cutting discs, etc.

Maybe the producer will bring some of it in to robot wars.
