If they are the mx series, then please steer clear :)

I think my young padawan ;) Fatman will no doubt answer this shortly for you, as I am upto my eyeballs in 4 new rigs I am building this weekend :(

Have a look at Tom's 'Bribeware', as this has pretty pictures for you to get a better idea of what is what currently in the VGA market:

Informative comparison, but as for half of the other hardware stuff they talk about on that site, take with a pinch of salt.

Cheers,

Nick :)

ATI Radeon 9000 pro seems to be about the best bang per buck card at the moment IMHO

what would scooby do 18 January 2003 12:17 AM

depends on what you want to do - for games then nvidia geforce 4 TI 4600 is cool - but prices will dump when geforce 5 comes out in a few months

basically depends on money, and what you want to do,

money no object radeon 9700 is nice

gf 4 ti 200 for around £100 good card
radeon 9000 pro 128mb
radeon 9000 non pro
geforce 3 ti 200/500

do not touch gf4 mx flavour

if there is a particular card you want or need advice give me an email.
