I am looking to put one of these on a 95 wrx and was wondering is there much difference from the standard downpipe. i have read that a decatted downpipe will release more power but is this in fact noticeable say over the standard downpipe? what should i expect? i already have a decatted back box. what sort of H+S downpipe will i need as i am unsure if my exhaust come in 2 or 3 sections. will the downpipe mate up ok with the other section or will i have to start arsein about downsizin one end of the downpipe.

thanks for the replys

Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong peeps but ....

Yes the DP will make a major difference (well it did in my MY00) as
you are removing a big cat. Turbo on song 500 rpm earlier.

The H&S DP will probably be 3" mouth tapering to 2.5" ... so I would presume that it will mate up to your centre section (if it is OE centre) just fine.

Only thing I would query is although I think that decat DP's are fine on UK Turbo's there are suggestions that on STi/P1/WRX that they may make them run a bit lean? Best get it checked/monitored.

I'm sure someone with a WRX will be along soon :D

Doofus.

I just fitted a TSL d/p on MY00 last week - f'eckin brilliant :)

Power does come in sooner and when you're going for it, it is considerably quicker.

Oh yeah, noise isn't bad either!

i have fitted a h&s de-cat downpipe to my my95 wrx i already had a full performance exhaust fitted already.
i must say it was the best mod i have made to the car!

it has improved off boost performance and the turbo spools up around 300rpm quicker than before.

when the turbo does come in the car feels alot fitter through the gears.

well worth doing ;)

the only down side is it stinks my garage out with fumes :D

Buy & fit it now ! It comes in two different sizes, 2.5" will fit the standard centre section or 3" for the big bore.
