I have MY00 wagon currently with SS DP+BB and Dawes (also 801ECU).

I'm putting the standard pea shooter back on as I'm now doing more motorway driving and want the decrease in noise.

Anyhow .. when I first put the SS BB on, there was obviously a change in noise and it seemed to rev a bit freer. Not a huge performance difference though.

Then I added DP+Dawes and did notice quite a difference in performance and noise.

So what performance drop (if any) am I likely to notice putting the pea-shooter back on? Is the standard BB going to be that restrictive with my set-up.

I'm assuming since I'm keeping the DP on I'll still be safe enough with a Dawes?

The thinking behind this is, correct me if I'm wrong here, that the decat DP allows the exhaust gases to escape quicker (no cat) so EGT's will still be lower than they would be with the standard catted DP.

One more thing, if I get a hold of an Sti BB or a P1 BB I take it that this is a freer flowing number than the standard BB with a slight increase in noise?

Thanks for any help.
Doofus.
