Hi guys

Now I've got the web page bug, I'm trying to find a web hosting site that supports Frontpage extensions so I can publish it straight from Frontpage. I'm currently with BT Internet and use Cuteftp to up load my site details.

Also, how can I display my domain name that I've brought in the address window. I've got it set up to divert to my BT pages but it then shows the BT address not my nice and neat domain name.

Thanks for your help

Tim

Allo Tim long time no meet !

(reminder - must sort out an essex meet soon)

we can host a FP enabled site plus your domain etc etc. Best off dropping me a line offlist as we'll sort you out a deal.

Well,

I've tried another host, Geocities from Yahoo. If I use the US version it excepts Frontpage.

Plus points - Easy to upload straight from FrontPage and very quick in comparison to Cuteftp.

Minus points - AD BANNERS http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/mad.gif http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/mad.gif

Call me cheap but I'm not looking for a full hosting service really as I'm not looking to pay any silly money for a personal site.

But I'm open to offers http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif

Hello

I'm sure that Lee can do you a better deal, but I use:

Hiya

just had a quick peek at wiredhosting. Their basic package works out at £106 a year.

Our basic package is £50 + VAT a year and offers more than theirs.

250Mb vs 500Mb bandwidth/month
5Mb vs 50Mb disk space
2 POP3 accounts vs 5
we offer unlimited aliasing they dont
we offer a catchall account they dont
we offer a personal cgi-bin they dont
we offer stats they dont
we offer access to logs they dont

admittedly they chuck in a domain name whereas we charge separately. All else seems equal.

just an observation - i would have expected them to be well cheap being based in the US.

regs, lee
