I'm getting old(der) and fat(ter) and figure the time has come to hang up the sportsbike boots. So I was thinking about an africa twin (mainly cos I like the guys who run the franchise and will be chopping in my Ninja against it there).
Anyone ridden one? Thoughts? I know I could get a pegaso or cagiva gran canyon thing, but I've had Aprillias and Cagivas before and they always blow up! Cheers Chuck |
Chuck,
I hired an Africa Twin in Tenerife last year, however I had a passenger so its difficult to comment exactly. Nice smooth engine (legendary Honda reliability?), not a bad turn of speed, handling quite sharp, but sooooo heavy with quite a high centre of gravity makes it interesting in traffic. You're never too old or fat to give up sports bikes - pull yourself together... http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif Cheers Andrew |
