Car is missfiring on cold damp mornings till it gets warm - classic I know
How much is it gonna cost? |
mines doing this too, really bad this morning, fine when it warmed up, changed the plugs at the weekend too.
Am I in line for coil packs too? |
Coil packs from the dealer can be had for £50 ea inc vat so use that as a starting point. If several people get together they can be obtained from Australia for just over half that price but you need to check if they are a direct replacement or if minor mods are required.
I think that Pavlo and Stevie Turbo/Michael have been down that route so contact them for more info. |
i asked my local dealer for coil packs and he looked at me like i was mad telling me they don't have such a thing. I said to him I think the earlier cars have coil packs and later have a different setup but he couldn't help me. This made me wonder if they are just on jap imports?, or is my dealer stoopid?

Cheers, keep em coming :D
James, It's damp that does it, hence they are OK when it is freezing as it doesnt track so much. Once they start they only get worse, it's a early warning. How many miles has yours done? Mine is on 93k so I cant complain  |
The coils we used are not a direct replacement. They need fitting to the car, along with slight wiring alterations, and the addition of plug leads. They do however cost less than half the price of original subaru cols.

FYI
