Further to my post in general technical, where my MY01 with full decat came to a halt the garage have reported an exhaust gas tempreture sensor failure. I suspect they haven't seen the full decat yet so the questions are, how much is this gonna cost me if they wont replace it under warrenty (as they are entitled to do , I know) and I thought I read somewhere about fitting a resistor to this sensor so when it fails the ecu doesn't throw a fit?

Over here in the US MY02 wrx owners are fitting a 2.2k ohm resistor in place of the EGT probe. I have done it to my WRX because of a de-catted up-pipe have had it for 2 months still no CEL light.
