Crossing at a crossroads in my home town tonight (its dark), I don't have right of way so I pull up and look in both directions, Nothing coming from either way so I begin to pull away over the apex of the road. See a flash go across the junction before me from left to right (fortunately on the far side of the road)and I hit the anchors. It was a Pushbike (He gave me a filthy stare and mouthed something). The rider was wearing reflective clothing and a back light, but no front. I couldn't see the reflective clothing as my lights were not pointing at him and there was nothing else on the road to illuminate him. No doubt it would be my fault if I knocked him off.

He must have a death wish :eek:. Are all pushbike rider this stupid ?

Unfortunately, as a push biker myself, I have to agree and say the majority of cyclists are in fact this stupid and put themselves and other people at risk when being such arses [img]images/smilies/mad.gif[/img]

Its sad to say that most bikers are on a death wish. Some I know wont even wear a helmet. They just dont realise how vulnerable they are. Cars can be repaired - heads, legs and arms take a bit more mending.

IMHO it should be law to wear the right gear - helmets, multi-directional lights, reflective clothing.
