The Scooby Ball 2 has a new date 22nd March 2003

as i said from day one..if people don't come up with the goods they don't get my business!

The Hotel i was planing of using have not been very helpfull!
SO i've rang another hotel....

Better Venue/Hotel
Better FREE car park (200 spaces.. Security gated..and they will send a Porter out to check ther cars peridodically too)
Better Dinning room..can take up to 100.
They will Extrend BAR time for us..as we are staying over!!
Better Deal on Hotel Room Rate!!!! (looking at £30pp (£60)a double Room or £55 pp a single...So get a date for the night..all inc Breakfast!!)

the only down side...move one week foward.. to the 22nd!!

As everything was better i think this is not a problem!

There are a number of guests that have birthdays still taht week...so we can stil make it a special weekend for them

Hotel details WIL NOT be posted on Scooby Net for Security Reasons!!

But The hotel is still handy for Nottm City Centre!!

I hope the date change is CooL with everyone.

Reason for the change:
original hotel have been too slow of the mark to get back to me with FULL info...also they are not willing to look after us enough...when you think at least 80 will be dining...25 double rooms wanted...loads spent at the bar when Chuck and DrEvil get going!!! i feel they should be doing more for us...they were not even prepared to reduce room price by even £5 just to make me happy!
most city Centre hotels are empty at weekend..but they still wanted us to pay top wack!

the NEW hotel have been alot better...better prices all round...BETTER hotel!!! BUT they could not fit us in on the 29th.
the 22nd was fine though....Its even booked down in thir book as the Scooby Ball 2 now too.
i've received the Info pack this morning from the above hotel and i didn't even speak to the woman till dinner yesterday!
TODAY (thursday) i have received the Info pack from the 1st hotel...that i asked to be sent to me MONDAY!!!!

In the long run is better...as it going to come sooner rather than later LoL

I have spoken to phil about the security issue; would we, collectively, be prepared to engage (at a reasonable cost, obviously) a private security guard / firm to keep the carpark scumbag free (have to make sure i get a pass though:D)
