Bah !

You've had snow in London... we've just had some pi55y sleet and stuff... They forcast it here too...

Pics look great fella !

Brewsters_Millions 09 January 2003 07:59 PM

Like everyone else says, fantastic pictures, especially the one of the church, looks like it should have been a painting!

Always the bloody same, the south always gets the best of the weather, the most sunshine in the summer and this year, the best snow in the winter! (Scotland aside)

Oh yeah and since this is scoobynet and not weathernet, fantastic looking P1 aswell! lol

Ricky81 STi 10 January 2003 09:08 AM

Second that mate, some of these pics should be in an art gallery.

Fat Boy 10 January 2003 09:30 AM

Blimey, what am I bid for them then?:D:D

I've got next year's chrissy card sorted anyway.

17" superleggeras ,and side strips from your local subaru dealer, come as seen or can be painted.

Josh L 13 January 2003 10:49 AM

Wotha Fat!

The church piccie has got to be a candidate for next year's Christams card. Lovely shot.

Nice pics FB :D

You had way more snow than me :(

Now all you have to do is read the instructions on yer camera and find how to meter for snow ;)

Ian

FRP 13 January 2003 02:48 PM

Camera's don't like snow as its too bright, need to brighten up your photos, unless your snow was grey ;)

ian_sadler 13 January 2003 03:13 PM

FRP,

The snow comes out grey cos the cameras metering is set to average grey 78%'ish level.

To get it to look nice and white from the camera you need to change the exposure value (EV) to about 2 stops over exposed.

Sounds about rite :D It a long time since I did photography for a living. And digi cameras wern't even invented. LOL

I hope you did not break the noise limit of Greenwich park in that old rust bucket.

Big Issue & now selling Christmas cards, billoddy pikeys get everywhere.

:)

Dave T-S 13 January 2003 05:06 PM

Barge

I didn't see the ratty dog tied to the railings with a bit of string though;);)

You remember that article a while back that said there were beggars that went round the corner every evening and went home in their cars - that's that FB, that is. Gives genuine beggars a bad name

FB
Pah - call that snow? Just back from Switzerland - coldest day was minus 30, and crossed the Swiss/French border at 6am Friday morning on the way home at minus 15 in a blizzard. Biggest problem for the STi all week was getting it down the icy hotel underground car park ramp with the ABS locking the wheels up and the 90 degree bend at the bottom looming

Dave T-S 13 January 2003 05:07 PM

PS - cornered ok too;)

barge 13 January 2003 05:23 PM

no fuel surge then ??

:D

Fat Boy 13 January 2003 05:49 PM

Big issue, ratty dogs on string?

I think that all that running you poor drones have to do on your little hamster wheels in the city has rotted your brains. I am a gentleman of private means and extensive leisure so I will ignore you all, throw another log on the fire, pour myself a glass of fine brandy, and lean back in my fine leather armchair in the calm of FatBoy Towers. Enjoy the train ride home chaps.

PS DTS I spent Christmas and New Year in Canada, anything you can do re the snow and temperatures I can do better:p Oh yeah and the only reason the Sti stayed on the road was due to it's enormous weight:D

As to the photographers, Ian etc, thank you for fiddling, now get back to work:D

barge 14 January 2003 08:16 AM

Is that your probation office ??

Looks very similar to the one my kid brother goes to :D

Fat Boy 14 January 2003 09:29 AM

I am not surprised about your confusion re your brother, however, this is a house with windows, not bars, and it is in a nice part of town.

Please let me know if your brother ever finishes his probation as we could do with a scullery boy - the house is a bit too big to manage on our own and we do so like to help the underprivileged. It would be good for one of your family to be meaningfully employed :p:D

Fat Boy 01 September 2003 03:18 PM

give the man a banana :D

Yep, haven't seen the Telegraph today, but bang on. The whole place was like a christmas card, Blackheath as well.
