Guy at work has just used Zen for a home ADSL install - they were OK, but he has been mucked around by BT (there's a surprise http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif). Bear in mind, that whatever ISP you use, it is still a BT line, going to a BT exchange and you will therefore have the potential for contention issues (congestion on the line affecting performance) because you will be connected into a common DSLAM (DSL Access Multiplexor) before you reach your ISPs network. If you are a business user, then you will have a lower contention ratio (1:20 as opposed to 1:50 for home users). Make sure you specifiy the business service when ordering. I guess most ISPs will be roughly the same. I have always found |
I'll soon be in a position to sort out ADSL connections if people want em. For scooby people we'll do it pretty much at cost which will be around £25 a month.
