was drivin along then all of a sudden the battery light came on as well as the warnin light and power steering gone! switched of and back on again no luck any ideas?

Sounds like the drive belt has broken/come off that runs the alternator and PS pump, shouldn't be a big job:)

Have a look under the bonnet, between the front of the engine and the radiator.

yep, one of the belts has broken, cheers
