Helloooooo

I am in a little weee town called Cheadle in Stoke-on-Trent and a mate of mine has just bought a Scooby and I am very impressed with it. I am registering on his behalf really for technical support.

Just thought I'd say hello and wonder how many people here are in my area. I will be keeping an eye for you now.

Denzil_Dog 16 December 2002 03:19 PM

i have to work in stoke but then i get to go home to where the normal people are ;) :D

Denzil_Dog 16 December 2002 03:21 PM

tis a very backwards place :(
lots of Nova-Boys playing Scooter :(

Denzil_Dog 16 December 2002 03:23 PM

then we have some guy called DARLEY who drives a tractor up and down the road all day :(
god knows what he has done to this tractor but it chirps like a tuned up Cossie..... (go's like one too :D )

MWF 16 December 2002 03:27 PM

There's a guy not far from me who has a dumping valve on his tractor, we are a wierd folk alright. LOTS of Nova's around but I'm not much of a fan. But I do drive a Sierra I'm afraid.

Hmmm this board needs a little something to make it feel more impreza like.... ah ha!

*joke*

Denzil_Dog 16 December 2002 03:30 PM

that could be the same guy :)
big blue tractor.... he usually pulls a trailor aswell :D
it is funny though, you can hear him nobbing the thing through about 6 gears and you look out the window and it's going about 15mph

MWF 16 December 2002 03:37 PM

LMAO Well this is in Caverswall, apparently all the other young tractor drivers want dumping valves too but he's keeping schtum about how he's acheived it on his.

We do however have lots of Scoobies in Cheadle most of which seem to have been modified in one way or another aswell. We even have an RB of some calibre.

Little Miss WRX 16 December 2002 04:02 PM

Welcome to the forum, I reside in Staffordshire and help arrange meets and such.

Jump into the midlands forum where I am taking this thread............

Cheers,

Michelle. :D

ChrisB 16 December 2002 05:33 PM

Ye gads, another Chris (a W) at that!

Hang round till the things get warmer and we'll kick start the evening meets again. Or there's the New Year meal currently being planned (looks to be Lichfield way).

Chris.

MWF 16 December 2002 05:43 PM

Sounds good thanks.

I actually have a company pub in Darlaston that might be of use if anybody needs to organise any events.

Jonto 16 December 2002 06:04 PM

Denzil Dog "i have to work in stoke but then i get to go home to where the normal people are" But you have put you are from mersey side ! :D ;)

MWF - Hi, what scooby ya mate got ? probably seen it around, got a few mates in cheadle and play squash there too. Always see a silver scoob at the leisure centre, and the RB belongs to Rogers, bBrock and Barker right ? - i take me rabbit there (goober knows what i mean ! :D he ain't no ordinary rabbit either !)

Company pub ? would that be the darlaston inn ? we have meets there but i don't like it cause the car park has to many pot holes for dougnuts ! :D :D :D ;)

MWF 16 December 2002 06:15 PM

Hey Jonto, it's not me that's got a Scooby mate it's a mate of mine. Are you fimiliar with the three brother in Cheadle who all have Scoobies, A white one, a silver on and a black one? Well my mate has bought the black WRX - it's on 17's, custom leather interior, loud exhaust etc...

Yeah I take my cat to the same vets but I think he has got rid of the RB now.

Who do you know in Cheadle then? I might know you/your car/of you.

MWF 16 December 2002 06:17 PM

Oh and the pub is the 'Frying Pan' in Darlaston, nice big car park, meals etc... I am sure I could arrange a good deal for a Scooby meet there.

Jonto 16 December 2002 07:02 PM

I know the stoddards in cheadle, but i don't know the three brothers with the scoobs, although i have probably seen them about.

Red mud flaps by any chance ? or a reg plate ending in WRX ? :D

Jonathan

MWF 16 December 2002 07:32 PM

The white scooby with the red mud flaps is owned by a guy working at JCB. The ones I know are:

Black WRX Sti on 17's - My mate Ryan (was Ad Grocott's)
White WRX Sti, roll cage, roller bearing turbo - Simon Grocott
Silver WRX, gold wheels, evo style wing - Justin Grocott
Silver (not sure of spec) gold mulispoke wheels - Burger
Blue Wagon, lowered with alloys - Burger

There used to a be a lovely blue one with twin exhausts, a red one about which was really loud, there is now another red one I see about which is quite loud and a girl who thrashes a grey one about everywhere.

JASON H 16 December 2002 08:57 PM

Welcome, i live the other side of stoke, Biddulph 2mile from congelton silver 01 WRX p/plate.

goober 16 December 2002 09:45 PM

Hi, you might see me between Sandbach and Newcastle, green uk96. Jon, today Holdcroft let me loose in a new STi when I popped in for a quick repair !!! Tail-out-tastic!

Gareth

ChrisB 16 December 2002 10:54 PM

I see you a few times in the morning Goober, usually around the Parkhouse roundabout or lights on the A34

Jonto 17 December 2002 11:59 AM

MWF - would probably recognise those scoobs when i saw them !

Goober - guess what ! somethings up with me car and i will have to go to holcrofts ! :D ;) Hey, do you need to buy a really really really nice rabbit hutch ? £55, one careful owner (henry). We have had one custom built for him out side by a joiner, cause my mum is fed up with him been in the garage !

Chrisb - got ya oil burner yet ? :d

Jonathan

DeanF 30 December 2002 04:51 PM

MWF,
You will know when you see Jonto, He's the one with his wheels going round extremely fast but only moving a few yards, Can also be identified by black rubber marks on the Tarmac ! :D
Dean

chrisp 30 December 2002 07:02 PM

You may see me about occasionally but probably in the focus with the SIDC sticker, jugding by the number of Foci about it would be a good spot though :D.

Little Miss WRX 30 December 2002 07:05 PM

If you haven't seen the grey/silver one about recently then that may have been me. LOL :D

I used to have a silver MY94 WRX and drove enthusiastically everywhere. :D

Look out for a 22B, that may be me. :)

MWF 30 December 2002 07:11 PM

There was a girl driving around my area in a grey/silver scooby with grey wheels, she's got all the local car lads talking. Nails her car everywhere.

Saw a few Scoobies up Festival Park way last night, quite a few on Sainbury's car park and a silver one nailing around Festival Park itself.

chrisp 30 December 2002 08:24 PM

Brave man to take any car onto the fezzy park in the hours of darkness. Happen to be down there one night and left without stopping . I didnt realize it became one way after 7pm ;). There was some seriously dodgy driving going on overtaking and speeding with people crossing the road. Not good and not clever IMHO. :(

MWF 30 December 2002 08:33 PM

I don't tend to go down myself, went down last night out of morbid curiosity. Lots of kids about messing around, very few decent cars.

Jonto 31 December 2002 12:03 PM

Dean - at the rate my tuning is goin, i won't be able to spin the wheels soon ! :D

Festival Park, i go down there everyday ! but, i do work on there ! ;)

markwild 02 January 2003 10:35 PM

Guys - while you're mentioning Holdcrofts - You had any trouble with them ? - I have used 'em for 2 years, but found this http://www.wildsworld.co.uk/myimpreza-studs.htm last time I went !!!

Not sure whether I want to go again...

Cheers,
Mark

DeanF 05 January 2003 09:08 PM

Jonto,

Sorry it slipped my mind for a few seconds & i thought tuning cars gave more power, Silly me, Won't happen again :D

Jonto 06 January 2003 10:35 PM

Dean - you are just jealous of my technical wizzardry when it comes to tuning motors ! :D

DeanF 07 January 2003 09:51 AM

And your flare with the old alphabet, Wizzzzzzzzardry, I just can't seem to get it.
Anyway Jonto just stop showing off now, Nobody likes a no it all ;)
