Barry,

Is that Socket 7 or Super Socket 7?

IIRC, Socket 7 only went up to 233Mhz. The boards were mainly based on the Intel Triton chipsets (FX, HX, VX, TX). The Via / ALI Super boards have support for higher clock speeds.

I can possibly source a P233 MMX.

Cheers,

Chris.

It's a socket 7. The AMD K6 with 3dNow is a modern one (AMD K6II) which is super socket7 and won't work. (I tried a friend's).But thanks anyway.

It is a TX pro Mobo. Settings are for external clock between 50Mhz and 83 Mhz. Internal clock speed 1.5 to 3.5 and single or dual voltage. (Iknow the MMX and K6 is dual voltage). Oh God it also has jumpers for Core voltage from 2.5V to 3.5V.

I forget the maths of this, does any of that add up to P233MMX? Are we talking in the range of ten quid or so?

Thanks for the response.
