I'm going to be installing a single din head unit into the dash of my wrx.
At the moment it has a double din clarion setup in there. What options do I have to blank out the nasty hole that will be left behind?

Sunglasses holder from Subaru dealer around £12.
Graphic equilizer set up maybe.

If you wanted use a blaupunkt header unit, you also have the choice of a single din 5 disk changer togo in the other slot.

I'm also looking at similar options for mine. Does the Blaupunkt 2 unit set up actually fit. A ICE place I was at today said it didn't

The ICE place is wrong - see here .

The only thing to watch out for is to make sure that you get one of the blaupunkts with the removable bezel - IIRC some of the older range didn't fit.

Who'd believe it - a shop not knowing something?

lol. How can you say such a thing, Nick? I've been in several shops recently, and more than half of them knew something. One of them even knew something relevant ;)

Just replaced my standard black double din unit in my 02 Sti7 with an Alpine CDA 7893R. Used the standard Subaru storage tray which cost £15 from dealers. having speakers upgraded this Thursday as I wanted to see if I could live with the standard ones but definately need upgrading. Should I do back as well as front or just the front speakers with Dynamat

Sideways,
yes it is, tape and cd.
Would love to say I knew how to use it! The only way I found to set the time was disconnect the battery at 11:59 :)
Make me an offer on it and I'll see if I want to sell it.

I am interested in buying a double din head unit to replace my import Mc Intosh unit. If anybody wants to sell me one, e-mail me on disco.fever@blueyonder.co.uk
