I have removed the thread and turned off HTML as it takes enough time to run this bbs without it falling over due someone making a cock-up in the HTML fun they were having.

I only realised it could be done last friday & thought that it would be a fun thing to do & provide additional colour & humour to the bbs. I was attempting to elicit additional ideas & draw peoples attention to it.

Has it actually caused any problems? I would have thought that any wrong script would just fail to read (like wrongly input picture urls) & as such it should not be detrimental to the running of the bbs. Please advise me if I am wrong.

Apologies of course if any problems have occured & I am not offended (as this was my thread).

Thanks for your reply.

The chances of a problem being caused are small, but the way the BBS saves / changes threads leaves the possibility that threads could go wrong (in the way the one I deleted did), or become corrupted. This is not a BIG deal in itself, but there is also the possibility that as the message is being saved, it could potentially cock something up with the rest of the BBS.

As I say, the chances are really small, but I would be grateful if we didn't take the chance.
