Getting an MP3 compatible CD player installed on Friday so wanted to know recommended software to use for burning onto CD and any other tips about how to organise on the CD
|
Put 'em into folders. Regarding software, I'd use what came with your drive otherwise you're paying out extra money.
I use nero, and recommend it... |
As Chiark said...
Keep the number of tracks per folder below 255 (may be the limit in the filesystem). Depending on the stereo, it may have to be below 99 tracks for display reasons. |
i would try and keep to about 15 songs per file otherwise its an absolute pain in the arse to skip thru 36 songs in one file like i've got on one disc. Just keep everything where you know you can find it, oh, and label the discs!!!

Nero 5.5 with latest update (avaliable on the net) highly recommended. I have tried some of the other burning software but nero always comes out on top.
|
U'll want an mp3 ID3 tag editor too if u want the correct titles to come up on your headunit. Cant remember which one I use so I'll check my home PC tomorrow.

I use Nero, it has always proven to be the best and easiest to use IMO
|
Thanks for your help I am currently testing out Nero 5.5 but until Friday will not be able to test out the MP3 recordings
