At work today in A&E treated a couple who were airlifted from M* to hospital after a high speed smash at more than 70mph.
Car was totalled as it had been side-swiped and flipped at high speed into central reservation. Both occupants had minor injuries only - prehospital team say it was the structural strenght of the car that saved them. What would happen in an Impreza - do they do well in crashes. |
I have had an incident in a Classic MY00 and held up well :D but I beleive that the new Bug eyed shape is quite stonger hence the extra weight :( IMHO
This was on the track :D where all hard objects are covered with tyres and sand traps :D not like lamp posts, gates and cars comming the other way :( the Saftey car was there before we were out of the car :D and the Ambulance was there before we reached the edge of he track :D:D:D:D There is a time and a place :D:D:) not trying to preach  Tony |
wise words from a wise guy - how ya doin' TW?

I thought you only treated minors in Sheffield!!

Had a triple (or maybe 4) roll in my previous MY99.
Not a single scratch, didn't even notice that I rolled over until I stepped out and looked at the car ''dammit where's my rear wing, rear bumper and front bumper gone?'' |
I'll back this up. The old shape is definately tough.
I had a jack knifed lorry ram me on the M1 (over a year ago) when I was in an MY96. Most of the car took a pounding but it stood up really well. Impressively strong cars. Mike |
