Hi All,
Have realised my scoob is costing 800 quid a month to run, basically as a commuter!!! Am thinking of chopping it in and fancy a Puma. can anyone give me some idea of running costs? what I like to know is MPG, service intervals , rough service and tyre costs thanks for any help Andy |
Yes
We have had on for two and a bit years 1.7 lux pack - all the electric toys 35-40MPG Group 12/13 ins 1.7 has variable valve timing, engine developed by Yamaha for ford. revs to 6.8K power from 3.5 has fair torque, the car is light anyway so is always ready to go servicing every 9K, around £ 100.00(Ford), cambelt @ 90K Tyres lasting 25K on the front 50K on the back Good performance Brilliant handling! precise accurate steering with good feedback through the s/wheel great brakes Great involving/rewarding car to drive. 1.4 not much fun, not driven the 1.6 but slow - 1.7 the one to have. Buy ours! http://www.scoobynet.co.uk/bbs/thread.asp?ThreadID=154925 [Edited by Paul Habgood - 12/4/2002 1:32:14 PM] |

Swap you for my company puma :D;) Got the 1.7 and it's fantastic fun :) I have just driven it from slough to scotland and back this week and found it very comfortable too. Best bit was thrashing it round the lanes when I got there :D If you want a go in one drop me a line (live in marlow which is near you I believe?) Paul |
