Can anyone help with a decent Scooby service centre within an hour of Wakefield West Yorkshire.
My problem so far is a long list of Warranty defects which after reporting them eight weeks ago are still to be done. These include some spoiler re-spray work, a continuous engine/dash board chirruping and a badly installed rear interior side panel that creeks incessantly. To top this off they have just done about the worst job possible on installing a turbo boost gauge for me. They fitted the pod to the most curved part of the dash so that it wobbles, fitted it with two 3/8” screws into 0.5mm of plastic dash skin so that it wobbles even more, bound the cables in ugly electrical tape so that it goes sticky in the sun and connected the pressure hose to the wrong place giving the following readings: “0” with ignition off, “0” at idle, no change on revving and a max pressure of 6psi on maximum boost. Not bad for £60 eh?
After placing a posting with a cry for help I was kindly pointed in the right direction. So a quick trip down to my local genius and turbo specialist (not Scooby authorised so keep schtum) I have the following: 0psi engine off, minus 10psi on idle, on revving moves to zero and on boost runs to 16psi. All it cost was a pint!
So, any one know of a decent Scooby mechanic in Yorkshire so I can maintain FSH and warranty cover? Please, please.

My cars out of warrenty now and I use Auto-Tecnica in Mirfield (Excellent!!!), in warrenty I used R.N. Goldens in New Mill, Holmfirth (Huddersfield), no problems.

Many thanks for your help guys, all are in reach if they're good. The only question now is which one?
I'll perhaps pay them all a visit and see what they have to say but in the meantime can anyone else give any comments on the ones named above (second opinion sort of thing).

PS Auto-technica are excellent, I know quite a few people who use them but unfortunately not able to give me warranty service.

I am considering relocating to Ripon area and would be interested in the name of the Dodgy Subaru dealer. I know it would be wrong to state the name categorically but if I got a map and a list of dealers would said questionable dealer be my first choice from Ripon? Had great service from Dennis Common in Northumberland and would hate my pride and joy to be mistreated. That said I had a BMW a while back and the main dealer managed to rip the bonnet off and smash the windscreen on the road test for a routine service (total repair over £1000.00 at least ....to them) so not much would surprise me.

Hope the above ok to ask. Be careful with replies. Don't want to create any court cases. Use my e-mail shown in my profile if you need to be specific.

Pulleyns in York will take some beating to be honest. The service team are enthusiasts themselves.

Pulleyns York without a doubt.
They did my clutch and discs under Warranty
No questions asked, even though i'd had all previous work done by Bentleys of Knaresborough, until they lost their franchise.
Speak to Nick
Cheers Andy

FR Pulleyn get my vote http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif

I've never had to claim on warranty but have had two services carried out there. Very impressed and relatively cheap as well.

Cheers,

Ian.
