Is the PPP something that must be fitted by Prodrive or can dealers do it?

I know the ECU is replaced, but I thought this was just a straight replacement.

Thanks in advance,
Stefan

dowser,

I see what you mean, but what I'm trying to avoid is having the car sent down to Prodrive for the work. I'd rather drop it off at my local dealer for all the work to be done by themselves.

Cheers Ron,

I'll start ringing round the dealers today.

The PPP can *only* be fitted by your dealer if you want to maintain the warranty - in the UK anyway :)

I'm pretty sure that dealers can do it, Even a few people on the bbs have got them secondhand and fitted the themselves, and if computer geeks can doit, anyone can. http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif

i must admit i was under the impression that the PPP had to be done at Prodrive ?

your dealer can do the suspension package etc but the PPP with ECU stuff had to go to Prodrive ?

Steve,

That's what I suspected. Guess I'll find out tomorrow when I speak to some dealers.

When I had my car done. I dropped it off at the dealers saturday, picked up a courtesy car and it was back, complete with 15K service by 15:00 monday. The only reason why I dropped it off on Saturday was so that the dealer could drive it up to prodrive for 8:30. No worries and the grins have'nt stopped.

Neil, it'd be ok if I lived close to Prodrive, but I don't fancy them driving 600 miles to Banbury in my car. Guess a larger dealer would stick on the back of a lorry to take it down.

In January I had PPP fitted to my MY99.As we are so far from Prodrive the work was organised and carried out at AF Noble in Penicuik.Colin there is very helpful and can give you all the details. They also collect and return the car(same day)on the back of their recovery lorry!Great service from a friendly bunch -highly recommended.(As is the PPP. After 30000 miles in a standard car I drove around with a huge grin for a few days!)

tobyholly,

I actually passed the recovery truck on the M8 last week. It had a brand new 5-dr Sport on the back. Looked like some lucky person might be taking delivery. I'll give them a phone on Monday.

Cheers,
Stefan
