They had a bash at me on the oldham road (A62) just leaving the city centre but I was being a good lad, that was on sunday morning at approx 11:30,mindyou there were loads of unlucky folk pulled which was a shame seeing as it was a clear day, wide carriageway, no houses, no schools, no one else around, just an easy 30mph money maker.

Paul Frank 16 February 2000 01:10 PM

Hmm, anyone thought about one of these?

I'm sure some of the EMP devices being developed for the modern battlefield will knockout the electronics, if not the laser, used to track your speed.

How soon to market, I wonder.

BarryK 16 February 2000 10:17 PM

Yeah, and anyone up our way driving on the A62 passing thorugh Marsden, beware there are more cameras than a Sky Sports outside broadcast.

Paul Frank 17 February 2000 01:12 PM

Barry

you need 'em when you've got Darren (Milky) living round there . . . . . http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif

Sorry to be pedantic, but..

HARM

High-speed Anti Radar Missile

;-)

Milky 17 February 2000 03:57 PM

Paul, you really are giving me a bad name.
I've never been flashed by a speed camera, I might drive a tad fast, but only in the right places. Explain's why I've never been stopped by the police.

Where abouts do you live Barry ? What car ?

You've probably seen my Red MY96.... maybe not.

Darren.

Paul Frank 17 February 2000 04:23 PM

When Darren says 'red' looks more like 'very dark purple' but that's 'cos he doesn't wash it very often not 'cos it's a new Scoobie colour . . . http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif

Oakley: depends if you're a Yank http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif

Diggle.

V160 EDB Deep blue Micra (ha, ha). I leave HQ around 07:00 and bound over Nont Sarahs Eatward Ho! around about 07:15 traffic/fog/sheep permitting.

Milky 19 February 2000 02:37 PM

Paul : No offence, SOD OFF :-) , alright it could be cleaned a bit more often, but you know the hectic lifestyle & job I lead !!! (.....NOT !!!)

BarryK: Diggle eh, good roads across there, many an hour driving up the side of that valley. Only dropped down through Diggle a few times, shame turning off that road.

Darren.

I have seen them in the following locations in the past couple of weeks:

A628 Hollingworth (behind a wall westbound)
A623 Peak Forrest (in cemetary)
A34 Handforth (50mph section under bridge)
A58 Bolton to Bury road (near A665 turnoff)
A57 Glossop (West bound at end of Snake Pass, in 30mph zone)

Gazzer
