Does anyone else agree?

It only lasted about a weekend before i was bored.... It would be far better if you could do championship mode with other cars but then that is the power of Ford i guess:rolleyes:

That's why I didn't buy it. Played it in Game on their demo machine and got fed / frustrated up really quickly. It's nowhere near as good as the previous CM games. The graphics are better, but you don't get the fully rally season, can only compete in the Ford (can only use other cars in arcade mode), and IMHO the car handling / physics are naff :(

Bit of a lemon this one IMHO. There are far better driving games out there...

I agree it has its faults, but I keep going back for more. Once you get used to the way the car handles, I find it quite rewarding.

I quite liked WRC, but that too had its faults (some major ones too). I found the handling worse the CMR3 but still fun.

I still reckon CMR3 is worth the £30 I paid for it. Also got WRC for £20 which is ok.

I played it again last night.... Was on stage 1 of Japan and ended up 20 seconds behind everyone else, i wouldn't mind but i'd made no mistakes and was going quickly too, then on stage 2 i did the same but was 10 seconds in the lead... How does that work:confused:

Also, you can't even try out different setups on the individual stages:rolleyes:

I used to be a huge fan of the CMR series but this one has been quite a disappointment:( If it had been CMR2 but with the graphics of 3 then it would have been almost perfect;)

Haven't played either of the new releases and won't bother judging by everyones reaction.

Shame really, cos you wait so long for something that will be even better than cm2 and it just ends up really disappointing anti climax.

With the growing popularity of rallying I can't understand why no one has made a real rally simulation eg. stages that take 15 or 20 mins rather than 2 or 3. All the new games have real arcade atributes which imo is crap.

They have, it's called Rally Championship 2000 on the PC and I still rate it as one of the best rally games ever.

oh and CM3 is a big let down :(

Crush 01 December 2002 11:49 PM

Agreed, It isn't that good :( It's nice to look at, but that's about as far as it goes  And you can't even find the codes anywhere either! Who is honestly gonna sit through the whole lot just to unlock a car or stage?

Dream Weaver 02 December 2002 12:40 AM

I like it :)

As a package it is poor, but for a quick blast around it is good.

Steve Perriam 02 December 2002 07:52 AM

hmmmm, does not look like i'll bother then at £40 !

so WRC II ?
