Really sorry to say but shipments from the Far East can take 6 to 12 weeks. I have no ideas about cars though I am afraid so thery may not be taking the proverbial

Question for the Dealer:

I know this is a well publicised topic on the BBS, but I'm starting to wonder how Subaru transport their cars.

I also appreciate that Subaru UK's delivery tracking system is somewhat out of touch, but just how long can my car be "on the boat"???

Its been (apparently) sailing around the world now for over two months!!

Is this normal? Surely not. I don't want to think that my dealer is stringing me along but it is certainly starting to look that way!

Any help or enlightenment would be welcome.

Cheers

Scottie

My Sti 5 took approx. 6 weeks from the day I placed the order. It takes about 4 weeks from dock to dock, the other 2 weeks was a slight waiting list for the sti'S in Japan.

Sounds like their stringing you along if its been 2 months!

Whe I ordered my car the dealer concerned (Lancaster Sevenoaks) was able to track exactly where my car was as soon as they had received confirmation that the order had been received from Subaru UK. They knew what boat it was on, when it was due into Newcastle, and when they would have it ready for me.

I'm sure if you push your dealer they can do the same for you..........
