I'm thinking of fitting a K+N Induction Kit(57i) to my 98MY UK Turbo.
I've used K+N before (In a previous life - mini owner!) so I've no probs with the company or parts, but do I need anything else and will I gain much (certainly did on the mini)....

I saw one today at TSL, but don't know if ECU/MAF probs will be encountered etc...
TIA,

Mark

Any Views ?

Did you go today - I was there from about 9:30 to 10:30

Is there much of a drive / torque / power change when fitted ?

i wasn't there - i was at TDi having a rolling road session.

An MY01 WRX (UK) had one fitted and it pulled 240BHP!! Although that was on a full system.

I ran mine up with just a scoobysport back box and got 221. So it's a fair bit up from standard (more than the induction kit would give you). The TSL will give at least the same, if not better, than my back box. And even if it doesn't the sound is worth it.

Had a full system from TSL fitted couple of weeks ago including firestorm back box, (de-cated), The car was purely standard and it ran 247 on the dyno (MY 99). So gain of about 30 bhp. The firstorm does sound the bollox just don't expect the neighbours to not complain. :-)
