Hi people, need to fit a new set of rear pads, what have you people got on yours, i currently have Mintex 1144's on front ????????????
Cheers. |
I'm currently trying to get some 1144's for the rear of mine, can't seem to get anyone interested in suppling them, what is it with suppliers these days?
|
GGR?
|
Yup, mailed them a week ago asking for a price and delivery etc, not heard yet!!!!!!!
|
Ron,
Check your mail, it has some prices from GGR that I got today. |
Thanks for that, what are you going for?, I've got 1144's on the front, so was going for them on the rear to balance things up.
|
I am going for:
GGR Grp N Front Discs Ferodo DS2500 Front Pads Green Stuff Rear Pads Std Rear Discs S/S Brake Lines 5.1 Brake Fluid Are the 1144 any good for the front. Also are they very dusty? Both the 1144, 1155 and DS2500 are same in price. [Edited by Vinesh - 11/21/2002 9:22:01 PM] |
there is absoloutely no comparison between ds2500 and 1144/55, the FERODO is a far superior pad in all aspects - WHY are you putting "ebc" in rear??????
alyn - as performance p.s. we are main agents for MINTEX, PAGID, FERODO (amongst others) and always try and maintain a high level of quality service!! [Edited by stockcar - 11/21/2002 9:43:25 PM] |
EBC no good?
Std pads OK, cos the rear brakes do not get used heavily. Sorry for the high of post. [Edited by Vinesh - 11/21/2002 9:48:40 PM] |
IMO (and we test quite heavily) the pads with the "three letter name" are not worth buying.......
either leave std pads in or fit a mildly uprated pad depending on use. mail / phone for advice 0191-4103770 alyn - as performance |
