My boyfriend has just turned 31, and as for how much the insurance cost, I did not ask! I am sure he will let you know later..... The insurance <BLOCKQUOTE><font size="1" face="Verdana, Arial">quote:<HR>Originally posted by JoeyDeacon:
<B>So just how much did that cost him??

Just insured the Impreza last week and while I was on the phone asked how much it would be to add my 24 year old girlfriend.

I am 28, Full NCB, Clean Licence, UK Spec MY00 Impreza Turbo and the insurance cost £615. Adding my girlfriend took in up to nearly £1100

Just out of interest how old is your boyfriend?[/quote]

Bagpus 09 October 2001 11:44 AM

I am 20 years old, and my boyfriend has insured me on his P1 since the beginning of the summer.

Am I the youngest P1 driver????

Is my boyfriend mad or stupid??

When I am driving it I seem to have a big grin on my face! I feel like the luckiest girl in the world with a brilliant boyfriend....Thanks simonburton for trusting me with your Scoob XXX

He must love me very much...... http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif

I insured my 22 yr old son on my P1 with Tesco - it cost him 1200 GBP a year on top of my own premium ie 100 GBP per month - but his smile was huge !!

scoobynutta555 09 October 2001 11:59 AM

simonburton 09 October 2001 01:16 PM

I am said boyfriend.

Wait for it....the insurance only stipulated that I accompany Bagpuss when she drives, at no extra cost!

It is insured through my business with fleet cover.

She really is a lucky girl, and not a bad driver for her tender years.

ChristianR 09 October 2001 01:32 PM

Been driving my wrx sti version iv type-r coupe since I was almost 19... i wont even say what my insurance is like http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif
But if you can afford the car, then you can afford the insurance!! http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif

Having seen Si drive, I reckon that Bagpus is probably going to be doing the poor car more favours anyway! http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/tongue.gif

Chances of me insuring my ladeeee on the Trouser Express very limited as she can't drive! (too lazy)

Probably better for the wheels anyway http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif (dons fireproof suit and ducks) http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif

Cheers

Trouser

simonburton 09 October 2001 02:29 PM

Thanks Paul for those kind words.

Bagpuss is certianly a more sympathetic driver than I am, although she does like to use all the horses avaialble at times, which is a little scary.

Catch you later.

Hi Simon.

Why not bring Bagpus along to the Scooby Ball? http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif

simonburton 09 October 2001 05:37 PM

Hi Lee.

Bagpuss works strange hours and shifts, and can not make the ball, although I will remind her again and double check the shifts.

It would be good to come along and catch up with everyone, even Trouser and Salsa-King!

simon

salsa-king 09 October 2001 08:54 PM

Bagpuss, simon is a bit soft in the head when it comes to his P1. Plus his driving is'nt that good at the mo! so you may be better at driving it than him LOL

SimonBurton!!!
scoobyBall, try and make it! or pop down to see us anyway 4 a drink and a dance, but it would be good to see Bagpuss and you all dressed up!

Martyn, Trouser is right the TSL backbox and Scoobysport mid section and down pipe are a great combination. It makes all the right noises with out being too obtrusive in the car. Hope it wasn't too loud when I drove away last night.

Going back to the insurance, as mentioned earlier in the thread, the only stipulation from the insurance company was that I am in the car when Bagpuss is driving. Not a bad deal really.

If it was going to increase the premium, I would not have gone ahead with it, no matter what favours were promised!

Trouser,

Thanks for the help I will give you a call later today and try and get booked in for saturday.

I am only about 5mins away from keyworth.

Thanks

Martyn

20 yrs old and insured on a P1...

I hate to think the premuim.. I was quoted a new premium of just over £8500 to insure my 21 yr old girl friend on my old P1. http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/eek.gif (and no I didn't do it for obvious reasons).

martyn 10 October 2001 09:28 AM

Simon

what exhaust system have you got fitted to
your P1.

I think it was you parked outside my house last night.

It sounds amazing, I would defiently be interested in get one fitted (just on the sound factor).

Thanks

Martyn

NeVeTaS2001 10 October 2001 09:28 AM

I was 18 when I got mine 3 years ago.

The insurance was 3k, now its 1k.

My girlfriend is 18 and she only gets to sit on the lefthand side! http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif

I know a 17 y/o who started his own IT business 7 years ago. He OWNS a helicopter and has a full license!

Cheers

Martyn

Mr Burton has showed the excellent taste in choosing the TSL Group N back box accompanied by the Scoobysport Grp A downpipe and Mid section..... A supreme combination which means his mum always has the kettle on before he gets home http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/tongue.gif

Give us a bell if you fancy one!
