Has anyone seen these on the road out of Town, heading towards Baslow, if so how do they work they are pointing away from the painted markers, I pass them everyday and they have got me confused.

These ones are right son of a bitch types. After I went through them at about 40mph (30 limit) a few weeks ago by accident and didn't see them till last minute I checked on the net for info and by the looks of it they are called Truvelos and catch you coming towards, not going away. Apparently there are sensors under the bloody ground so they don't show up on radar detectors. Alright for motorbikers they don't have number plates on the front. Also not sure how they work in the dark I would have thought a forward facing flash would be considered dangerous.
More than 2 weeks have gone by now so I guess have got away with it. |
I've been told by a good source that they have been turned the wrong way for the mo because they hanen't been registered!! So watch it when they get turned the right way?????
CHEESY |
think youll find that they have a red flash
|
Yep, I can confirm they flash red! Also confirm that my Snooper SD815 never registers these forward facing triffids.
|
Red Flash is IR and CAN be taken at the front of the car. White flashes must be taken from the back of the car.

Cheers Dee Dee
I'll look out for them. I sometimes use that road Harps do you ever drive slow ;) :D Hope nothing come in the post for you |
Forward facing, infra red flash ... shows at dark but no visual impact ....
see here and look down for http://www.speed-trap.co.uk/Accused_...dgets_Home.htm TruVelo and TruVelo Combi S They are the right way round, but I am not sure why they paint lines past .. they have done the same in Ilson, only reason I can thinks is if they do want to stick a gatso on at some time ! |
