After spending time driving the (in the US and Europe) WRX I must say that although its handling is above most fault, its steering feel is very average.

Why can't someone figure out how to re-introduce steering feel into the WRX? The 96' and prior Impreza's had fine feel, but since then the steering has gone from fair to average?

Why cannot a subaru feel as nice to steer as any Porsche, or the old Quattro or Integrale for that matter?

Maybe we'll have to give an Impreza to the Lotus boys for a few weeks and have them give us some ideas?

Does anyone else on this forum consider steering feel and important part of driving?

Get hold of a Type RA steering rack - problem solved! http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif

Seriously, it makes a big difference - having driven RA and "standard" cars.

Had laser geometry set-up on my MY01 today at Powerstation, could instantly tell the difference, and for all those that say the MY01 does not need bump/steer mod you can now ring Powerstation for the answer!!
