Following conversations with Arron & Pele, propose to hold a bluewater area meet next week. Been speaking to Hol & this will give him a well earned break and replace the Notcutts/F1 meet for the month.

Am making date Thurs 21st at 7:30pm, as no-one suggested alternatives!

Venue will be the Wharf pub, just up the road from Bluewater. See below for maps. Again, no-one suggested anything better!

Edit to update (twice)

Don't mind where it is as long as it is.

hades 15 November 2002 02:34 PM

Cheers Chris - it will be. Forgot to mention, should see the meetings debut of my exhaust. Which will be outshone if megastream comes with his new car! Opening a book on what mods AndT has done this month ;)

Phil

vsigma 15 November 2002 06:59 PM

mind if a silly american comes by?

Hol 15 November 2002 07:45 PM

Hades, all this organising is making my hair fall out. Either that or im not ducking quick enough when the wife throws cutlery at me :D

Victor, It would be nice if you could come, cos then I can say hello in person. Hows my old wheels doing stateside BTW?

AndT , I reckon he has gone for some gauges and possibly morrettes. Not much else left to do really :)

vsigma 15 November 2002 07:47 PM

Yes.. definitely - i think I may have an item of interest for you Andy if this meet is definitely on ;)

pele 15 November 2002 11:52 PM

We should be there, pity it's not the Thursday after, I could have bored you all with details of my Rally day!

Hol 16 November 2002 07:15 AM

 Lookout, Its Sideways Pele
The Gravel Meistr-ess herself :)

Just remember to point the front wheels in the right direction and dont worry too much about the back. :D

Victor, Sounds interesting?, See you there!

pele 16 November 2002 11:41 AM

Hol, you trying to say something about women drivers? :p
I *might* even have stage 3 of https://www.emotipad.com/emoticons/flame.gif 'Project Flamer' https://www.emotipad.com/emoticons/flame.gif
in place, depending how long Mr. Postie takes to deliver it.

mega_stream 17 November 2002 12:18 PM

Not looking like I'm going to be able to make this one due to work :(

Medway1 17 November 2002 09:41 PM

Hades

I will see you there, i am also going to Power Engineering on Thursday to have my prodrive ecu changed for a tek2.

Oh and i have now modified the heat shield but its not been fitted yet.

See you on Thursday.

hades 18 November 2002 12:01 AM

Ah - you've got ahead of me with the modding! Look forward to hearing whether the tek2 is a big improvement over the prodrive ECU. All being well, I should have new shiny up-pipe and ported headers, only a few hours old on the day too, which will leave me going for the tek next month. :D This is turning into a "mod-fest"

Americans welcome, silly or otherwise. The meet is definitely on. If we're lucky we'll even work out where!

Pele - none of us would dare say anything about women drivers in general. Specific women drivers might be a different matter . . .

Hol - are you saying you were hairy before you started organising things? ;)

Hopefully i'll get there at some point.
Busy night.

Where at bluewater?
It's a bloody big place:)

Mark

Arron 19 November 2002 02:49 PM

I'm up for it, just need to know which place.

I'll nip round before sometime Phil.

Arron.

Pele : Hows the flamer kit ( Light Blue Touch Paper and stand back ).

paul-s 19 November 2002 04:42 PM

bluewater is fine for me. I work right next to the wharf pub too which as a reasonable carpark (unless 100 scoobs show up), alternatively where abouts would the options be for bluewater ??

what sort of time too (bout 7 is fine for me)

TolTec 19 November 2002 04:49 PM

Hi Paul,

have you checked to see if The Wharf has Kareoke on Thursday? ;)

The Wharf sounds like a better idea than BW itself because it should be easier to find everyone else.

GTB Limited 19 November 2002 05:29 PM

And the decision is?

:D

p.s where's the wharf?

New police memo, declares flamer kits illegal, as of the new year.

hades 19 November 2002 06:30 PM

OK then, I'll say the wharf as a final decision. It's within about three minutes of bluewater, see:

here

and

here

It is on Galleon Boulevard - turn off the dual carriageway (Crossways boulevard}, go straight over the first roundabout, and it's on the right.

I'll be there about 7:30.

AndT2000 19 November 2002 07:33 PM

Sorry guys, can't make this one due to work. :(

Phil, sadly no mods this month, wallet has stayed firmly shut, normal service resumed when it's had a while to recover. ;)

Hol, 'not much else left to do really', if only it were true m8! ;) :D

Cheers.

pele 19 November 2002 10:26 PM

Arron - how was the rally? Bet it was great when Subaru won, talk about being in the right place at the right time!
https://www.emotipad.com/emoticons/flame.gif'Project Flamer'https://www.emotipad.com/emoticons/flame.gif - right, this is NOT a flamer kit, I'm doing it the long way,:D MD :D stylee! It's taking a little bit longer than the cheating way, but sourcing a 2nd hand down pipe is taking a while!
Hades - Glad to see you've finally got a meeting place sorted, I thought it was only supposed to be women who were indesisive. LOL! :p

Hol 20 November 2002 08:30 AM

And there's me who has just bought a flamer kit!

See U there guys. I had a partial facelift done this month.

And the cars had some bits done too! :D

GTB Limited 20 November 2002 08:43 AM

Just joking

:D :D :D

Arron 20 November 2002 11:55 AM

Pele : Rally was great, I even got mistaken for a SUBARU GRAVEL CAR well chuffed.

See pics in member gallery.

Arron. Tell you about it Thursday

GTB Limited 20 November 2002 03:49 PM

If my network q pics are any good, i'll bring em along.

sorry, no blue gravel car shots :)

Arron 20 November 2002 04:34 PM

GBruce 20 November 2002 08:08 PM

Hi Everyone,

Providing I can find the place I should be there, see you all Thursday.

George

vsigma 20 November 2002 08:17 PM

-victor (the silly american)

Hol 21 November 2002 08:08 AM

Never mind Victor, will catch you next time :)

Arron 21 November 2002 09:21 AM

If anyone wants to meet up if they don't know where the WHARF is they can then follow me down.

Arron.

pele 24 November 2002 10:23 PM

So no-one enjoyed theirselves Thursday then? We had a nice time anyway, and it was nice to see Christine, Vicky & Rich, (oops, Mole's Mum, Moles Sis & Mole!) take the silver beast for a spin :D
Arron, hope the big deal went down OK!
Hol, good job on the face lift, can I have the name of the surgeon!
Hades, hope the directions for you put into your robots are better than the ones you gave us! LOL! :D
See you next time, hopefully with stages 3&4 of https://www.emotipad.com/emoticons/flame.gifProject Flamer https://www.emotipad.com/emoticons/flame.gif
