Maldives. Not as expensive as you'd think.

2 years ago, the wife and I went for our 10th anniversary. All inclusive, sound catering, seaplane transfer, extra legroom seats, just over a grand each for a week. Little spending money needed (but don't buy their champagne, cost me $150 and didn't know until we'd drunk it  )

Top place, if you like peace and quiet.

Maderia is supposed to be nice!! I went to Fuerteventura for my honeymoon. The south of the Island is gorgeous, the weather is ggod and the beaches are amazing (and you can do a bit of nuddie bathing if you like that kinda thing!!) South of France and north Italy (Liguria) are also nice :D

I'm getting married next June and we're going to the Bahamas (Paradise Island). I was shocked beyond belief for the cost of a fortnight but I'm sure it will be worth it.

Agree with super_si about Florida - especially the Keys.

CUBA!!! That's where we went last May for our honeymoon, and it was great! :D Expensive? Only slightly more for two weeks all inclusive than you'd pay to go to the Med (and not necassarily for all inclusive!). It is near to the beginning of the rainy season then, but tBH we were glad of the cloud cover sometimes! When the sun was out it was hot-hot-burning!! It certainly never stopped us doing anything! ;)

I won't waffle anymore because you might not be interested, but if you are let me know (email's in profile) and I'll tell you what I can.

Oh, and don't forget that 99% of the European resorts have twin beds!  Not what you want on your honeymoon!!! :D

Argentina for the rally sounds a brilliant idea :D

Sardinia and Corsica - two of the most beautiful places I have even been to.

Ryan air fly to Sardinia.

I will be going again in October to watch the Rally.

Absolutely, definitely, Dubai (stay in thr Jumeirah Beach Hotel) the absolute dogs danglies. Went there for my honeymoon (22nd April last year). England team turned up the following week !!!

The Burj Al Arab is oposite (the only ******* seven star hotel in the world) don't stay there though ;)

I can recommend Dubai too, was there last October. Jumeirah Beach is great but what about the Royal Mirage for a honeymoon ;)

To be honest May is one of the best months of the year in Scotland.

Dubai would be very dangerous with a new wife and the shops :p
