Cheers Lads! £145 is quite high - suppose brand new & alloy - wondering how much one would cost from a later version? Edited to ask how different are the pipes & do these need much modification - longer / shorter? Johny. [Edited by jmca - 11/6/2002 5:26:02 PM] |
---- Fill in the blanks - I suppose it is part plastic but mine has started to leak (sometimes badly). I have a MY95 & wonder if I can fit one from a later version - which I think are alloy - please correct me if I'm wrong! Pipework may need tweaking though. Does anyone know who sells aftermarket ones & price range OR is it worthwhile trying a breakers? Regards Johny. |
later can be made to fit with brackets.

Pace do an alloy one, so do a few others. Try http://www.paceproducts.co.uk/automotive-parts.shtml and look under Radiators,Acessories, Header Tanks

Cheers Dan, Interesting reading!! £40 is good - a TENNER v. nice! Just wondering on the modifications to the pipes that are needed. Did you have to modify or get new ones for your 95 car. Regards Johny. |
I went to halfords and bought some wide 'ish' fuel line for about £6 then i just cut it to fit... you only need to lenghten the two pipes that go to the radiator and thats it, the other all fit fine...!!!

Mine boke on the pipe on top to the turbo, it was extremely thin/soft material. Managed to tap it out carefully and put in a bsp fitting. This got me away in the short term. might be able to do similar to yours till you sort out a long term fix? |
