always get the lowest CAS latency your M/B will support (check in BIOS if in doubt)

Not just performance, but system stability as well.

Crucial is top notch stuff.
Corsair is really for specialists or nutters pushing their systems. I consider myself to be both and I use their stuff:). It is great, but comes at a hefty price premium. Kimera, don't you mean XMS, not XP?

Little bit of pointless info. If you are buying DDR333 RAM, getting a 512mb stick and buying from Crucial, then you will be getting Samsung DTL-Based RAM, as they are yet to manufacture their own models of this size.

The Generic Samsung stuff is great, but if buying ddr333, try to get CTL-Based samsung ram.

Dom, I have always found them to be expensive for what you get and steer clear of them.

For instance, compare their price on a boggo standard slow cl3 256mb pc133 stick and then compare that with a cas2 Crucial pc133 256mb stick, pretty well regarded as the best in it's memory size/class at £22.99 in VAT and delivery and the other place seem to be taking the mickey completely!
That crucial stuff runs cas2, turbo settings all day long on via pc133 class motherboards at normal voltages and can go higher is needed with those settings.

Horses for courses and all that.
