Amazing,
our car just beat the Zonda !!! I am quite happy :D :D :D :D http://yellowmelon.dnsalias.com/xtr2...ady2_small.jpg Ian http://www.xtr2.net [Edited by igratton - 11/3/2002 9:11:21 PM] |
Your car or a simillar one? ;)
All the same, very tempting if I was to have that sort of money :D  |
that thing was awsome.... can you imagine how quick it would be with the addition of a turbo..... there was a DAX in CCC with a turbo'd hyabusa engine the other month...!!! quick as f*ck..
Dan:D |
westfields own car - it doesn't weigh 410kg either - their car is 510kg at SVA. Ours is 480kg at the minute.
ian |
LOL imagine what it will be like with NO2 ;)
|
Yeah...
imagine what it will be like when all the ali panels get replaced with carbon fibre sheet. and when all the nuts and bolts get replaced with titanium ones. and with race suspension. All being well we will weigh 450kg wet. That was their boggo basic ROAD car !!! Ian. |
When are Radical going to lend them an SR3...?
:D Can't see anything being faster round that circuit than one of 'em...Even an Caterham R500 would struggle to beat it... Just imho of course! :) Ross. |
most excellent, I want one, can you fit a flat four engine in it ?
|
Only slight problem is that radicals are still not road legal. There isn't an SVA approved SR3 out there at the moment. It would be comparing against a true race car.
Even so - the SR3 would toast the zonda too. Ian. |
Dan - no point in fitting a scooby engine m8.
The busa engine and gearbox weighs 85kg with all the bits (loom etc). A scooby engine and gearbox is too heavy. Besides - £2500 buys you a Holeshot turbo kit - 1.3L bike engine producing 320bhp @13psi....ummmm nice. Ian. |
Ian,
Was that you I saw buying the orange paint at b&q ! Dave :D (Still wanting a ride even more now!) |
Old V6 2.5l Cosworth as used in the Opel Calibra DTMs ? 450bhp and approx. 95kg ?
:D :D Of course, if you can get your hands on one. Cheers Ian |
incredible !
I didn't think that this was it's most flattering view https://www.bbc.co.uk/topgear/images..._feat_lead.jpg especially when compared with http://www.sae.org/automag/globalvie...images/01r.jpg but laptimes speak for themselves and that was quite a result ! |
LOL.
Our car has a slight throttle sticking open at 8,500rpm problem at the moment. We'll get this resolved before Bedford. Our trick race suspension may be on by then too. Ian. |
Ian you better let me drive it matey or theres real trouble.
|
Am i right in thinking if you put a turbo on that car with 320bhp the BHP/TON would be around:
695bhp/ton....   :eek:    Dan |
er - we figured a 460kilo car with 320bhp motor would be something like 607bhp/tonne.
I think a turbo could ruin the car - we'll try 100bhp progressive nitrous to begin with I think. Ian. |
wow,well impressed
|
Sorry Ian... its crap. It won't get down my drive.... not that I'd be able to get in the thing once its their mind. Which is a good thing... I think ;)
|
How satisfying is it when 20k can beat mega bucks.....
I dont care how well built your bemmer is... |
All I can say is Westfields demo car sucks. :D It's slow for a start ;)
Has a 5hite coour scheme Lights look wank Wheels are dire Brakes are crap Seats should be in a mondeo etc etc. And yes - ours is better, nicer looking, faster and cooler :D  |
i wish the atom was ready, thats gonna kick your asses ian/craig ;) LOL 450Kg and 290BHP and 250Lb/ft torque and more downforce. :p:D
|
But on the plus side craig - the wheels stayed on ;)
Car looked (and sounded) awesome. Even with w4nk-lights |
I'd still rather have the Zonda anyday of the week :D
|
If we had 300+K I think Craig and I would be sharing a Zonda too.
(Obviously we'd need an Enzo and Lambo too for daily drivers). But for the time being we'll 'make do' with the westi Ian. |
If I had that kinda money I'd have the westie and a ongoiing supply of 450hp Holeshot lumps :D
And I ain't sharing a Pagani with no-one - all mine! ;) |
