I'm thinking of getting some new wheels for my MY95, can anyone help? I need to make sure the ride is comfortable for girlfriend and two-year-old, who I think will appreciate that more than performance. I've no idea if 16, 17 or 18" are best and which tyres to accompany. Any suggestions?

Cheers

The bigger the actual alloy the more u will feel every bump but the greater feel u will have turning in2 corners etc & surely it'd b safer if u can keep control of car easier i'm sure misses wood want that 4 nipper ;) Er there is a site 4 dragging different wheels on2 scoobies if u aint decided wot looks best yet & on tyre from toyo proxes r my choice but also F1's & SO2's or 3's is it now seem quite popular :D

Si, the Diablo's which feature on the TSL website look pretty good to me, also Prodrive's selection. I guess I'm looking at 16", and 17" maximum.

I'll try & remember 2 post the addy of the site u can play with different wheels on when i get home aint got it on PC @ work ;) I went 4 17"ers & i wood recommend it as it certainly aint too harsh a ride but does feel so much better turning into corners over the original 15" carp! :p & also it aint so heavy like 18"ers that u have 2 upgrade suspension & u can also stick bigger brakes under when such a desire grabs ya ;) another safety eliment 4 mum & sprog :D U gora no how 2 sell these mods 2 da other half ;) or maybe that's y i'm single! lol Good luck then m8y.

I went for 17" wheels, and was lucky enough to find a set at a dealer, brand new, still covered in delivery wax, that they'd taken off a new WRX to change for gold OZ ones. Got 'em for cheap too.
Strangely, I now seem to be able to buy tyres for them cheaper than for my 16" ones!
Don't forget that not all wheels will be available in the correct offset for a scoob. My advice would be to look in the for sale section on here and on SIDC, and try for some like mine.

Tedd,

I've got some original 16" Scoob wheels if you want a (very) cheap upgrade. They have decent tyres on them but will not go over 4-pot calipers.

Mail me if you like...

Go to the TSL-motorsport website, and click on the wheels link, you'll find the site you're looking for there
