Purely for tax return reasons, do you declare your car engine size as 1501-2000 cc or over 2,000cc?
There's a big difference in the pence per mile I can offset as I use my own car for work purposes.

I believe the Scoob is 1994 cc, can this be 'rounded up'???

cheers,

greg

No, not unless you melt a piston http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif

The reason they put the breaks in is because there are not many manufacturers who have an engine of exactly 2000cc, most are just under.

As always, the risk is yours, not sure what you get for fraud these days????

If you do a high business to private mileage ratio (or you can "invent" some extra business miles) it might be worth considering the "exact" method - but this does assume you've got all the receipts for the year.
For me it makes a big difference (but I do about 85% of mileage on business)
