I have a friend looking to get a 2nd hand A3 for 12-14k, I suggested she could probably get a brand new Civic Type R for that as an import.

Does anyone have any good places to get 'em from that may have them in stock?

Tried Litchfield but no prices on the website!

cheers,

greg

Hi dont know whether this helps but I know the sales manager ERIC Ritchie at Fawcetts Honda Newbury and he has got a couple of 2nd hand CTR's for sale at the moment and he is always up for a deal!

He offered me a 3 month old ex-demo Black CTR with 4k on the clock for mid 14k! I have seen these for list at other dealerships... might be worth giving him a call (07770 372522) as you could 2nd hand one uk spec for decent money...

Obviously tell him I told ya and that your Scoobynet memeber!!! :p

Hope this helps! ;)

There is always an advert in evo for a company called Arjun imports. They seem to always have a selection of CTR imports, some from stock.

Don't know anything about the company though (good or bad)

Hi Greg

I've been considering a CTR myself actually (yet another idea!) and have done a little (but not lots!) of research.

They are £16k on the road at a UK dealer, air con about 1k, leather about another 1k. Not many other options except front fogs and upgraded ICE!

Anyway, the cheapest I've found them is about £13.5 which is for a broker to import one for you. Most tend to be a 6 month wait though :( Cheapest I've found one in the car supermarket web sites is £14.5k for cars in stock.

If I get time then this weekend I'm going to visit a dealer to have a test drive, see what timescales they're at, and see if any deals are available!

Cheers

Rich

P.S. Check out the latest addition to the collection ;)

Greg,

I know Litchfield Imports does them and for a good price too. Not for me to say what price was given, maybe you should contact Iain to get a price though. I'm sure you'll like it ;)

Cheers

Try Bentleys in Sheffield (get no from 192 or yell.com)

they are really good £14,495 or £15,495 with air con (any colour), just their stock levels vary and I don't know how long the wait is after they have all gone!

Good luck

Oh ask for Mark!

£14,495 is significantly more than Litchfields :)
