Jonny: I am up for Elvington next Sunday.
Martin: "Events" 17 December =17 Nov?
24 Nov. is Raid Across The Border Holiday Inn J44 Carlisle @ 10:00/10:30. Any of us going?
Can you update my spec please? You have an old version.
Broquettes: Delete. When I bought these I was taken in by clams of more power and improved fuel consumption. None of this was evident. Since then the manufacturer was given every opportunity to provide scientific or independent evidence to verify the claims. None was forthcoming. Subsequently I am told that the Advertising Standards Authority upheld seven out of seven complaints about the claimed benefits. I have come to a fairly obvious conclusion and will be asking for my money back but it is important to me that I am not seen to be endorsing something which is about as much use as snake oil.
At Well Lane my Spa instrumentation recorded a spike of 25 psi but it was a spike only and the car ran at 23 psi all the way.Incidently, on the road now I have 28 psi on demand.
The headers and up-pipe are Ion Performance (Canada) and are ceramic coated.
The turbo is a Garret/HKS hybrid, again from Ion Performance.
With my current set up I have 1 bar of boost in 4th at 3,700 rpm. but I need a full re-map and Bob Rawle said there was lots more to come from the mapping.
On the VF 28 (O/E which I got to 377 bhp) 1 bar was 3300 rpm so despite the bigger turbo and headers drivability has not been affected and overall gains are incredible. Cheers.
Harvey.

Harvey,
I'll definately be going to Elvington on Sunday, Havn't made my mind up about the 'Raid across the Border' yet.
I think we should all meet up on the A19 Service, south of Crathorne at 9.00am for a 9.15am departure.
Is that O.K. with everyone?
Speak soon

Martin

and we will use up your optimax !!

and buy up all the gold wheels to !! so you will have no toys for xmas

Ninnybobs 13 November 2002 09:42 PM

Lord Harding
I think you must be mistaken if you think we have any virgins over this side of the Country.
As a co-opted member of Tyne Tees Scoobies, would you please send photos and specs of your car so I can post it on our website.
Thanks

Martin
