Lo guys,

Anyone else had this problem.......I noticed a couple of weeks ago after the engine is warmed up and you stop and let the revs idle they fluctuate up and down for and about 30 secs and then settle down to a normal level. Very disconcerting when stopping a traffic lights etc as at time it sounds like the car going to stall.

Anyone had this.............if so how do I fix it??????????

Check the lambda sensor.

I concur with JB, as I've just had work done and it happened to me also.
Check for any air leaks too.

mine has started to fluctuate between 2 and 2.5k revs from time to time do you reckon this means my lamda sensor is on its way out too, if so what sort of money do they generally go for?

I hope you don't mean it's idling at 2,000 revs

Lambda sensors usually need replacing after 3yrs/ 30,000mls I've been told.
