Went to fold back the nearside door mirror on my sons STi7 and it went all floppy and a bit of broken washer dropped out! Had a complete new mirror fitted - no problem. three weeks later the bloody drivers side mirror did exactly the same thing! neither has been hit and he is very gentle when moving them in and out. Has anyone else had this problem?
Also the battery dropped to around 9V over a period of inactivity of just over a week, and had to be charged before any start could be made. Checked it this morning and it was down to just over 12V which was only just enough to provide a start. Any STi7 battery probs. out there?

John
I had the same type of battery problem with my few month old WRX. Dud cell, battery replaced under warranty.

John, the mirror problem happens across the MY02 range, not just the STI. The driver's mirror went the same way as yours on my STI. Looked like a sad one-eared rabbit for a day until garage fitted new one.

No battery problems however.

Get you dealer to contact IM, I had a mirror replaced under warranty a few weeks ago for exactly the same thing.
