Ok here in America snooker tables are hard to come by. A good friend I go to school with, who is from Belgium found a table and taught me how to play.

First off. that table is damn big.
Second off. The darn pockets are sooo small
and Third.....why the hell is a scratch worth 4 points to the opponent? Thats no fun!

I am hooked though. It is a great game, and it is the most frustrating game. The ball looks all fine to go in the pocket then it hits the bumper and bounces out.....err dammit...anyways....Great game! Anyone wanna play when I come to Belgium?:D

1st rule of snooker...Bumper = Cushion.

I used to play quite a bit, but out of practice now.

It is addictive..(especially if they have a cheap bar there)

I think you are forgetting the good ole game of golf there. That game will drive you crazy. Must admit, snooker is very addictive, and fun game. But 8-Ball is a better allround game though.

Takes dedication to get good at snooker - gotta play a couple of times a week. Most I ever got was 37 which I thought was ok seeing the amount of time I played. Got challenged by a guy at work until I found hes got a 97 before :eek:

Heh the best I got was like 34 or something....I dont remember. I was stoked though.:D


Golf is not that frustrating......I am part of the PGA of America and a scratch golfer, but this snooker game is ticking me off.:p

Excellent game especially when you start to get reasonably good at playing.Me and some workmates play almost every friday night,good laugh and you get 10 bottles of miller or stella for £12.50,yee-ha.

I have a feeling this is the type of game I must play sober, well considering I have never been drunk, or had more than 5 beers my entire life. I am guessing its a safe bet. That is unless this game makes me drink.
