Every so often I find that the wheel well keeps getting water in the bottom of it.I have checked the seels and for holes and it is solid.The only thing I can put it down to is condensation,does anybody else have this problem and is there any cure.

2 trains of thought on this one, my one was the boot seal, water was entering at the top near the hinge area and exiting at the bottom behind the carpet to the right of the boot latch assembly,cure took seal of put new silicon seal type stuff into rubber seal and replace, cut small hole in the rubber bung that is in the center of the wheel well to let your water out,also check down the side wells as it can collect there as well, its best if you take all the carpet out for easy access.

2nd reason that people have found is the rear light clusters.


i found mine by getting in the boot and getting someone to hose the back of the car.

Yep, it was the same for me too. It's most likely that...

Passenger side rear light cluster for me, too...

Solution? Remove cluster, apply sealant liberally, refit cluster. Done under warranty by local Subaru garage, despite my car being a feeeelthy import from Holland. :D

Also water will get in the pocket under the jack - check the other side too and dry it out once fixed :)

Had the same here as well on a five door, found it to be the rubber grommett for one of the cables going through the rear slam panel letting water through. Make sure you check this B4 taking light clusters out etc. Also easy way to check where the water is entering is remove the carpets etc and dust talc everywhere thus you can see the trail the water is taking B4 settling.
