Hi,

I live near Wokingham. Japanese Racing Green MY96 with gold Speedlines. Bumped in a guy with a silver STi2 in the Esso at Shinfield yesterday. He went off towards Finchampstead. So there's a few os us around.

Dave

richards 24 January 2000 10:30 AM

Area 52 Autosport 24 January 2000 11:22 AM

I've seen your car whoever you are. Red Mica is it? http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/cool.gif I did wonder. First one I had seen in that colour.

Kind regards

Ben

Penni Whitehead 24 January 2000 01:01 PM

Mine is black WRX S55 PEN (what else)

The only other person I ever see is Dave
(not that I'm complaining ...)

I have seen another black one coming up towards Ascot as I'm going down - I wave - but he looks ever so grumby ..... ahhh!

Lucky you - San Francisco - excellent!

hutton_d 24 January 2000 01:30 PM

Penni - you say the nicest things...!

I see a couple of other poeple about as well. I see a black saloon (not sure if UK or WRX) around Winnersh - going towards Syndleshams. Number is xxxx EVL. Anybody on the list? I get a wave anyway.
Also in Winnersh a Green (that's Japanese racing Green...) saloon with a italisised(SP?) number plate and a late (high level) spoiler. Get a wave here as well. Again, anyone we know?

Oh, and I see Penni sometimes - never hear her now though. Before I could hear her coming from the next county. Now I can hear Lee.....

Dave

drew 24 January 2000 01:36 PM

I to live around Wokingham but am currently scoobyless as I am waiting for the insurance company to pay up

Sheridan 24 January 2000 02:09 PM

I'm also a Reading area resident silver 5 dr, who was the silver sti who passed me on the M4 late one night last week then turned off a J11 and went in towards Reading whilst I went down the A33, and there is one I see and wave to (and he waves back ) almost every day whilst commuting through Winnersh, when I'm in the UK that is, in Egypt at present the hotel car park was interesting today with a few Dakar finishers staying there....... big damage on one.

Tim 24 January 2000 02:41 PM

I'm often in the Reading/Berkshire area.
Silver WRX (gold wheels) -- L8 WRX.

Hope to see you around!

There may possibly be a big Reading meet coming soon, this is the first hint of it!

Tim.

NeilR 24 January 2000 04:35 PM

Greg 24 January 2000 08:45 PM

Jonathan Witts 24 January 2000 08:46 PM

Hi Guys

I work in the Thames Valley Park, Reading. Spend my time up and down the A329M and going through Bracknell and onto Egham.

I have seen a couple other Scoobies going in and out as well as two that frequent the Gym !!!!!

Before Xmas followed a Scoobie from Wentworth all the way to TVP. Any of you guys ?

Jon

V697DMO 24 January 2000 10:02 PM

Looks like there are quite a few of us round and about.
Me thinks a small Reading Chapter meet is in order.
I would suggest :-

One Sunday meet for lunch in a pub then a simple route for all to follow, just to let Reading know we are here (lots of reasonable lanes in the fairly local area)

What does everyone think

Tim 24 January 2000 10:47 PM

V697DMO... something very much like this coming soon, keep your eyes on the events forum...

Penni Whitehead 25 January 2000 12:36 AM

Jonathan
Would that be Bracknell Gym - if so - mine is a regular visitor.

Interesting observation....

Sunday - Bracknell Sports Centre hosted (again!) a Computer Fayre - not one Scooby in sight (or parking space) I might add - not a one..... or maybe it was too early for Scoobie IT Techie types?

PS: Tim - yes I know what you mean.

nwemery 25 January 2000 09:06 AM

I live in the Wokingham area and regularly see (and wave at) lots of Scoobys. They are much more popular now than when I first got a turbo back in 1995.

Tim Bomford 25 January 2000 01:08 PM

Tim another Reading meet would be great, when? Count me in if you do http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif
Tim

Sheridan 25 January 2000 01:29 PM

Jonathan,
I also work in TVP there are at least 4 other Scoobies in my office car parks, but I have not seen any SIDC stickers on any of the ones I have looked at so assume the ones I have seen are 'Owners' rather than 'Enthusiasts'
Oh dear better put a flame suit on for that remark.
Sheridan

Fullonloon 25 January 2000 03:30 PM

Hi

I work in Marlow and drive an STI IV type-R
I see a few other people around and they all wave- but not many on the M40 back towards Uxbridge > Ruislip - strange...

NeilR 25 January 2000 03:36 PM

Hi All

My car is a rolling SIDC / Scoobysport advertisment.

See Loads of scoobies around Theale, not suprising since Pangbourne has Lancasters.

Being a weekend Welsh boy, i doubt i'll make any Sunday meets hence the occasional Mid-week get-to-gether in Nettlebed.

Bye, NeilR

NeilR 25 January 2000 03:45 PM

Have clocked up 130,000 miles driving Impreza's since May 1994. Absolutely sod all on the road then.

Bugger!

How do the new smilies work?

ColinW 25 January 2000 07:03 PM

Hi,

I also work at Thames Valley Park, Reading. I'm in the standard uk turbo 4 door, DBM MY00 (I have also seen a 5 door DBM, V reg in the car park).

I go to the gym at TVP (Penni, I assume Jonathan means this one) occasionally but I always walk there from the office. I am sometimes parked at the nursery next to the gym however, collecting or dropping off my little boy.

I don't have a SIDC sticker yet as I've only just applied to join.

I very rarely see Imprezas on the road to wave at, maybe they're not so common after all ?

Colin
