first of all the new shape does anyone else think it has taken a long time to get used to it and like it.
then they go and give it a face lift. Don't get me wrong i love scoobys have had a sti type r for over a year now and i just love every thing about it.(exc. fuel econ':D :D :D :D )

you would think the sale of mod's for new shape scoobs would have tought subaru a lesson but .
i am sorry if i've upset any one but the old shape still looks best
i will own a new shape one day but the body mod list will be long

I think I just grapped on my tired. ;)

All about sales and the bug eye didnt sell too well. I prefer the MY03 shape TBH and I think they will sell more of them.

But the shape is the same :confused: its the front end thats different with tweked rear bumper and lights. To be honest having grown used to the MY01/2 seeing the MY03 reminds me of the Ford Escort shananiggins with the Mk5. Ford kept upgrading the front without altering the rest of the car, just started looking silly because just as you became accustomed to one look they facelifted it. All a bit Joan Collins really.....Blutes

i thought people would be more outspoken than that.

I like the new shape. Looks better than the bug (IMO)

IMHO, I like the new shape but I think my Bug has more character... bit like the original 'bug' (VW Beetle), you know what it is when you see it in your rear view mirror.

More car manufacturers should produce cars with 'different' looks - these days, most saloons look the same!

i think the new 03 looks great - what they should have done first time around - huge improvement that brings back the crouch and attitude of the mkI.

i wouldn't px my mkI for bug-eye: but i will for an 03 sportwagon. roll on february!

Much prefer the new MY03's looks though I wish they had persued the IS200-style rear lights idea that we saw on some early sketches - looked miles better (not like the Daewoo Nexia saloon !)

I'm sure that sales will pick up now they've made it look better IMHO, and of course the interior is supposed to be improved !

225bhp from the stock WRX is better too, wonder if the torque figures have been improved ?? Think its good enough to take on the new rivals ? Roll on February 2003 !!

The easiest mod to make the bug eyes look better are the UK300 headlight replacement. I think the quads make the front alot better.

Hmmm see what you all mean. Never liked the bug eye myself but this is even more errrrmmm...... well sommat.

I dont mind it TBh its an improvment on the Bugeyes.
Hower If they give the scoob another face lift the shell have a beard.

I agree with Skipjack, this is what the new front end should have looked like from square 1. Mind you, I am sure the guys that are manufacturing replacement lights and spoilers etc. are a bit annoyed that Subaru seems to have got it right at last...IMHO of course!

i think that eighter 5th gear on channel 5
or driven will have a feature on the newest scoob
but don't quote me on that keep you eyes peeled :D

From a "new age" owner. Will the knockers of the bug eye now start on the MY03 for it`s overlarge bonnet scoop and "Jimmy Hill" chin look?.

as i said at the start i own a scoob and the last thing i want to do is knock scoobs. i have seen meny modified bugg eyed scoobs and a lot of them are top looking motors just got to change the lights before i'll take one out on the road apart from if its a UK300 there lights are cool but would look better colour coded.
has anyone noted that the morette lamp pattern is up the other way to the UK300.

I love it, those who don't i think will get used to it, just like everyone has on the ole bugeye. ANd again just like the bugeye, it will look a helluva lot better in the metal. Anyway those official photos that have been released look highly edited....
