i used to have a sport and I loved it.

Took nearly 3 years, but I eventually bit the bullet and traded for a Turbo. Hopefully you can one day too, but in the mean time enjoy a GREAT car.

Something I never did to my Sport, but works wonders according to Pete.
Get the Sport exhaust system from www.scoobysport.com

Hi.

There are a few sport owners on here. Don't feel as though you are a second class citizen. After all, no matter your BHP, theres always a faster car(unless you drive thrust SSC, which is a little unlikely).

I drove a sport once as a courtesy car and was amazed at how much more nimble is seemed compared to my wide tired turbo. In short I liked it a lot. Given a good driver, a sport can keep up with a turbo on the average B road.

who woz it who put a tank of nitro in a sport i seem 2 recall from a distant thread now that scared a few turbo types

PS Welcome

Same here - incredibly 'chuckable' and you could get away with a few liberties when there was nohing else around, as the chassis is capable of handling a lot more power (Turbo !)

Hi,

I drive a Sport and I think its great! Virtually everyone on here is Sport-friendly too!

When I bought my first Sport a couple of blokes working for different dealers said they prefered the way the Sports drive. YOu can give them a lot more stick and get away with a lot more.

The only people I've ever met who aren't sport friendly (everyone up to a 22b waved back) are non-scooby owners. Used to get so much stick in the office "why haven't you got a turbo blah blah blah"

Considering most of them drive bog standard focus/astras/BMW 318 etc I chose to tell them all to get knotted until they've got a car that can touch my Sport.

I LOVE the turbo, but I do still sometimes miss the engine note at high revs. And getting agressive round the roundabouts. Tyres squealing and all sorts :)
