Hello all,
I have a MY00 Wagon, only had it a few weeks and everything is new to me regarding turbos .. i want to fit a Bailey dump valve, either recirculating or atmospheric, depending on what advice i get here really ..... first question, is there a dump valve fitted as OE, if so where is it located?... had a look, but only thing i can see that looks like it relieves tubo pressure is the diaphram type valve connected by a mechanical linkage to the turbo .... could this be it? Doesn't look how i was expecting.
Secondly are there advantages/ benefits between the 2 types of dump valve ...lastly.. how easy a job is replacing it with either type? .... anything else i need to know?.. errr... no that'll do for now ...thanks

An MY00 should have the dump valve located on the pass side of the intercooler. The thing you are looking at is the wastegate actuator. Most dump valves are pretty uch the same. Dont expect a performance advantage by fitting an aftermarket one, its all noise. Just some noises cost a lot more than others and are shinier
